 | Most of our reservations are booked several months ahead of time.
|
 | Once the chalet is reserved for you and "taken off the market",
the first payment (usually 50%) is committed and is not refundable.
You may cancel and avoid the second payment if we receive written
notice of cancellation at least 31 days prior to your scheduled date of
arrival (46 days for rentals over the holiday season - Dec 20 - Jan
3). By this deadline, the second payment is also due and committed,
and as such, the reservation cannot be cancelled. However, if the
problem is related to illness or death of someone in the group or

For a multitude of reasons... No we do not allow
pets. The Security Deposit may be forfeited if this rule is breached
. |
We can refer you to two great kennels in Mont-Tremblant,
who would be happy to take care of your pet during your stay .

|
|
Must we clean the unit
when we leave...? |
|
 |
A professional cleaning is done between each rental.
The housekeeping will do the laundry and general
chalet cleaning. |
 |
NEVERTHELESS... when leaving you are expected to
do following:
- Clean and put away dishes.
- Remove garbage and recyclables to pick-up bins.
- Leave the chalet in a tidy condition.
- Used bedsheets, pillow cases and towels taken to the laundry
room.
|
 |
During your stay, the chalet should be kept reasonably. |
 |
Damage to property, accidents, spills,
incidents, or dangerous situation etc., must be brought to our
attention immediately (definitely before departing). |
 |
In winter months, the driveway will be cleared by a
plough. |
 |
Decks and stairs are kept clear of snow by the tenants.
|
 |
Cleaning over and above the usual norm, or
failing to respect our rules of tenancy may lead to forfeiture of the
Security Deposit. |
 |
Guests are expected to protect the chalet from
abuse and to treat it with care. |

|
Is the water potable...? |
|
 |
Our water is of excellent quality, from a deep well.
It is filtered and sterilized in a UV chamber before being
distributed to the taps inside the house (both hot and cold). Therefore
the water from the taps at every sink is perfectly potable and of great
quality. However the water will be at room temperature. We suggest
to use the water container in the fridge to cool your drinking water.
(Outside hose water is NOT potable - please supervise children!) |
|
|
What is the status
of the lake water...? |
|
 |
Our lake is free of blue algae and in very good condition.
Please help us keep it that way! |
|
| |
| |
| When are
rental payments due...? |
 |
The first rental payment (50% of the total) is required to
reserve the chalet. The second or final payment must normally be
received at least 30 days before arrival (45 days during the holiday season).
|
 |
We also require a "security deposit" of $350.00 on Visa
authorisation or cheque, from first time tenants. The
authorisation is only processed or the cheque cashed if necessary to
compensate damages or charges. (The authorisation may be "reserved" a few
days before arrival (to ensure validity of the card) but it will not
appear on you statement unless it is actually cashed on account of
damages or other charges. |
|
| What form of
payments do you accept...? |
|
In order of preference:
Putting rental payments on credit cards is convenient,
but carries a 3.5% administration fee to the tenant, because we strive to keep our rental prices as low and
affordable as possible for all tenants. In the case of last
minute rentals, we often have no choice but to suggest credit card payment.
 |
We accept payments in Canadian or US currency. Other
currencies are possible via Paypal.com but conversion charges or
administration fees of Paypal will be charged back. |
|
| Why do you
rent directly to your tenants, rather that using an agency such as "Tremblant
Reservation"?... |
|
 |
Typically, a reservation agency will double the normal
rental rate, and then pockets half of the rental proceeds.
We don't believe this method of booking provides good value for our
tenants. |
 |
Our personal involvement in the management of the property
is our guarantee that our chalet offers the top quality, cleanliness and
comfort that our guests expect. |
 |
Besides, we very much enjoy the personal contact and
service to our guests. They deserve the best possible
holidays and this is what we are happy to provide. |
|
| Booking via
internet can be risky. Do you have a track record...? |
| |
 |
Absolutely! We have been renting Heritage House
since December 2000, and renting l'Apogee since 1997. |
 |
We have handled more than 380 rentals since then - with
not a single dissatisfied tenant, ever. (See the "Comments left
by our guests"). We also have a guess book at the
chalet, where you can leave your comments. (All those in the book are very
positive!) |
 |
We can provide references from other rentors of similar
chalets in the Villa des Bois development, who know us very well.
However, we don't like to burden our past guests with providing
references. |
 |
The owner of Heritage House (Jacques Berthiaume) is a
lawyer and member of the Quebec Bar and is listed as such on the Quebec
Bar website. |
|
| Do you have a
manual explaining how to operate the chalet equipment and systems? |
 |
There is a full manual at the chalet, explaining
everything that you should know about the chalet, from garbage pickup to
opening the chimney flue. You can also consult the manual ahead of
time
online here |
